About Us

Fabric exists to improve the health and wellbeing of busy families. We do this by turning a weekly chore into meaningful time to get, understand, and use benefits.

Our Story

We’re Fabric Health: teachers, librarians, case workers, and engineers committed to making life easier for the busiest families – for the moms waiting for TWO hours every week at her local laundromat juggling work, picking up the kids from school, and making sure grandma gets her insulin.

Fabric Health is built for her.

What if we asked about her day and solved her urgent problem? How is she going to keep her heat on in the winter? Will she be able to feed her kids lunch during the summer? What are the barriers to her renewing Medicaid or scheduling her kids’ annual check-ups? She has too much on her plate and not enough time. We started with a basic question.

Courtney Bragg and Allister Chang

What if we stopped pestering and started helping?

What if we offered mom a laundry cart (and a children’s book)?

We solved her urgent problem

What if we asked about her day and solved her urgent problem (keeping the heat on in winter or food on the table in summer) before questioning why she hasn’t gotten a mammogram?

It worked!

So we built tech responsive to mom’s needs. We text. She told her sister and friends. They texted us.

We built tech that was responsive to moms' needs

✔ Now we’ve renewed the family’s Medicaid

✔ We got grandma insured for Medicare

✔ We got her family LIHEAP and SNAP

✔ We know mom’s stressors and how the semester is going for the kids

✔ We schedule her and the kids’ and grandma’s preventive care

✔ Mom even got her first mammogram – at the laundromat

Same routine, better health
